🎨 WellFight Art Policy
Our Values
At WellFight, we believe art should be accessible, ethical, and empowering. We celebrate human creativity first, while responsibly using modern digital tools to make projects possible that otherwise wouldn’t exist. Our games are designed to raise awareness, build community, and spark imagination — and our art policy reflects those same goals.

Levels of Art We Use
1. Fully Human Art
-
100% created by human illustrators.
-
Hand-drawn and digitally painted from start to finish.
-
Often the most expensive option (e.g. £100+ per card).
-
Available for special “Human Edition” releases when communities fund or commission them.
2. Hybrid Fusion Art (Our Standard)
-
Begins with hand-drawn sketches and licensed digital assets.
-
Refined and coloured by artists using digital design tools.
-
Lightly enhanced (≈10% or less) with AI-powered filters (similar to Photoshop effects).
-
Keeps human creativity at the centre, with technology used only as a supportive tool.
3. AI-Assisted Art
-
Generated primarily with AI models, then edited and refined by our team.
-
Used sparingly — mostly for prototyping, concepting, or where budgets make human art impossible.
-
Always disclosed when used.

How We Fund Artists & Give Back
-
Revenue Sharing: A portion of profits from each game goes directly into commissioning human artists — especially creators living with diabetes, mental health challenges, or other conditions our games represent.
-
Accessibility Through AI: Without AI tools, many of our projects would not exist at all. By starting with Hybrid Fusion Art, we’ve already commissioned over £7,300 of professional human art that would never have been possible otherwise.
-
Community Commitment: Our long-term goal is to grow revenue so that every game line includes fully human art editions, funded directly by our community and supporters.

Your Choice: Fund Human Editions
We believe in freedom of choice. If you prefer a 100% human-illustrated edition of any WellFight game, you can help make it happen:
-
Support Our Human Editions: We run dedicated fundraisers (e.g. Kickstarter/GoFundMe) to cover the higher costs of fully human-created art.
-
Transparent Costs: For example, a 40-card DiaFight deck with full human art requires about £6,000 in funding.
-
Options for All: Whether Hybrid Fusion or Fully Human, we make our process open and honest, so you can choose the edition you value most.

Our Commitment
-
Human creativity always comes first.
-
Artists are paid fairly.
-
Technology is used responsibly.
-
The community decides how far we go — with Hybrid Fusion as our sustainable standard, and Fully Human as a premium, crowdfunded option.
✨ WellFight exists to fight for wellness, awareness, and creativity. With your support, we can keep empowering artists, communities, and players alike — together.
What is Hybrid Fusion Art?
Hybrid Fusion Art is our unique approach to creating illustrations that keeps human creativity at the centre while making smart use of modern digital tools. Each piece begins with hand-drawn sketches and licensed digital assets, which are coloured, textured, and refined by artists. Only at the very end do we apply light digital enhancements (around 10% or less), similar to Photoshop filters, to unify style and polish details. This balance allows us to produce high-quality, affordable art that makes projects like DiaFight possible — while still funding and celebrating real human artists.

Still not happy with Hybrid Fusion Art?
We get it — some people only want 100% human-created illustrations. That’s possible, but it comes at a cost: around £6,000 for a single 40-card deck. We’re fully transparent about that. So here’s the deal — if you want a fully human-illustrated edition of any WellFight game, help fund it. Put your money where your mouth is and make it happen. Every penny raised through our [GoFundMe campaign https://gofund.me/b16c07fd6] goes directly into paying professional artists. If you believe in human-only art, this is your chance to prove it.
